What organization couldn’t use a Friends group? The Friends of CASA is a vibrant group of volunteers who serve in dual capacity as a fundraising arm and volunteer base for our many special events.

Our Friends Volunteers put on their volunteer hats for annual events like our casas for casa live auction, our back to school supply drive, the holiday giving tree and our birthday box program.

The friends host biannual membership socials and encourage the participation of individuals across the El Paso community who want to make an impact in the lives of abused children.

Who are the Friends of CASA?

The friends of CASA is a group of energetic volunteers who work as a volunteer arm and financial partner with CASA of El Paso, Inc. to raise vital funds to support the organizations’ mission of providing and training volunteers from El Paso to advocate for abused and neglected children , striving to provide them a safe and permanent home. Founded in 1986, CASA of El Paso has helped abused and neglected children in our community for over 23 years.

How do the Friends of CASA help abused children?

The friends have a direct impact on the children served by CASA of El Paso in three distinct ways. We host and participate in several fundraising activities, we provide critical volunteer support at CASA of El Paso’s events and we locate thousands of dollars of in-kind donations for the children annually.

Our larges fundraising event is our CASAS for CASA dinner and live auction. We are proud to say that this event accounts for a significant amount of our annual revenue needed to continue our mission of providing volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in El Paso. Our members also plan and produce several smaller scale fundraisers throughout the year as well as serve as volunteers at other CASA events.

Member of Friends volunteer to chair and coordinate our back to school supply drive by providing school supplies to more than 400 children each year.

Our friends also chair and coordinate our holiday giving tree program by securing holiday presents for each of the children that CASA serves. The members make ornaments, collect the gifts and deliver the gifts to CASA children.

The Friends also coordinate our birthday box program by securing birthday gifts for each of the children we serve.

Through our Friends program, you have the opportunity to contribute your time and talents in a variety of ways. You can help make happy endings for abused children by joining today. Membership dues also entitle you to subscriptions of the monthly CASA E-newsletter and the quarterly newsletter, invitations to the member ship socials and CASA fundraisers.
